Los Angeles Things to do
Possibilities abound in Los Angeles, the hub of California, as well as the global movie business. One of the first destinations I wanted to see after moving to the United States was Los Angeles

1. UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD
The biggest and most established film studio in Los Angeles is Universal Studios Hollywood. As well as its best amusement park. It is also the company’s original theme park.
The park features movie-themed areas dedicated to Harry Potter and Jurassic World. Among others, as well as TV-themed areas for shows such as The Walking Dead. Also, there are exhibitions and shows all day.
2. HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME
The Walk of Fame is one of Los Angeles’ most significant landmarks. They worked in the radio, theater, music, television, and film sectors. On the ground, each of these celebrities has been awarded a star.
Mickey Mouse earned a Walk of Fame star to commemorate his 50th anniversary. He is thus the first fictional character to receive one.
3. HOLLYWOOD SIGN
The original sign, which said “Hollywoodland,” was put up in 1923 to promote a condo under construction. However, the expansion of the film business made the location popular. So they decided to change the sign and keep it up.
To get to Griffith Park, I recommend getting a taxi to Beachwood Drive. It is the park’s pedestrian entry. From there, you can stroll to the Hollywood sign overlooking or behind it. Anything is marked, so there is no possibility of getting lost.
4. GRIFFITH OBSERVATORY
Colonel Griffith J. Griffith’s goal to make astronomy accessible to everybody laid the groundwork for the creation of this park and observatory. In 1896, he gave 1,200 hectares of land and finances for the construction of an observatory, planetarium, and exhibition halls. Touring the Griffith Observatory is one of the most famous free activities in Los Angeles. You may check the schedule here.
5. DISNEYLAND
California has two Disney-themed parks: Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Both of which are in Anaheim, a short distance from Los Angeles. (If you don’t own a car, I recommend scheduling transportation here). Even though the two parks are Disney and located next to one another. A pass will only be good for one of them, except for special tickets.
This park is designed in the same style as other Disney parks. With many themed zones surrounding the Sleeping Beauty Castle. In Adventureland, for example, attractions reference Indiana Jones’ adventures. And you may visit the Enchanted Tiki Room. It features shows with animatronic figures.
6. HOLLYWOOD
Hollywood, the movie capital of the world, is the most popular area of Los Angeles. This is where you’ll find the Walk of Fame and Grauman’s Chinese Theater. Two must-see Los Angeles attractions.
Also, I’d like to mention Hollywood & Highland. A big shopping and entertainment center.
Two more noteworthy destinations to visit in Los Angeles are the Hollywood History Museum. It houses a significant collection of movie-related materials. And the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. It is the final resting place for hundreds of world-renowned filmmakers and celebrities.
